The political atmosphere in Abia State continued to gather momentum on Friday, May 15 2026, as frontline Labour Party senatorial aspirant for Abia North Senatorial District, Chief David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, paid a strategic visit to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, Oluebube A. Chukwu, shortly after obtaining his nomination and expression of interest forms.
The meeting, which took place at Oluebube’s office in Umuahia, further signaled growing consultations and political engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chief Bourdex, who was accompanied by the Director General of his campaign organisation, Hon. Ndukwe Ojukwu, used the visit to appreciate the growing support and encouragement from stakeholders within the Labour Party family and across Abia North.
Speaking during the visit, Bourdex reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, people-oriented leadership, and the continued advancement of the Labour Party’s vision in Abia State.
He maintained that his aspiration is driven by the desire to bring impactful legislation, effective representation, and sustainable development to the people of Abia North Senatorial District.
