“There Is Visible Evidence Of Development In Abia” — Oluebube Chukwu

The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, Oluebube A. Chukwu, has stated that despite the economic and social challenges confronting many parts of Nigeria, residents of Abia State are experiencing what he described as responsive governance and visible development under the administration of Governor Alex Otti.

Speaking with journalists in Umuahia on Thursday, Chukwu said the difference in governance and public perception between Abia State and several other parts of the country has become increasingly noticeable.

According to him, while many Nigerians continue to express frustration over the nation’s economic realities, insecurity, and rising cost of living, Abians are beginning to regain confidence in leadership due to ongoing reforms and developmental projects across the state.

“For those of us living in Abia, the situation is quite different. We are seeing governance that is people-oriented, responsible, and focused on results. We understand the challenges many Nigerians are facing, but here in Abia, there is renewed hope,” he said.

Chukwu noted that the current administration has continued to earn public trust through road reconstruction, infrastructure renewal, improved public service delivery, and constant engagement with residents.

He added that the transformation being witnessed in different parts of the state has contributed to the growing confidence among citizens and stakeholders.

“People are beginning to believe again in the possibilities of good governance. Across communities in Abia, there is visible evidence of development and a leadership that listens to the people,” he stated.

The governor’s aide further maintained that Governor Alex Otti’s administration has continued to prioritize accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery, which he said has positively changed public perception about governance in the state.

He also noted that conversations around governance at both the state and federal levels have become more pronounced as Nigerians continue to compare leadership performances across the country.
