Tribute to Ochi I of Isuochi
HRM Eze Sir Dr. Godwin Irononso Ezekwesiri
The ancient land of Isuochi mourns. A towering iroko has fallen, and the echoes of his departure resound across our hills and valleys. The Ochi I of Isuochi, His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Dr. Godwin Irononso Ezekwesiri, the pioneer paramount traditional ruler of our ancient kingdom, has joined our ancestors.
For decades, Ochi I stood as the custodian of our heritage, the guardian of our unity, and the embodiment of dignity in leadership. His reign was not merely about the crown upon his head, but about the wisdom he carried in his heart and the vision he nurtured for his people since he ascended the throne of Isuochi in May 1974. He personified the strength and resilience of the Isuochi spirit.
As the pioneer custodian of our throne, Eze Ezekwesiri gave Isuochi a royal identity that commanded respect across Abia State and beyond. His voice was steady in times of crisis, his counsel a balm to troubled souls, and his presence an assurance of stability. He was not just a king; he was a father, a teacher, and a light-bearer to generations.
Ochi I lived as a bridge between tradition and modernity. He served meritoriously in councils of Ndi Eze at different times in Old Imo State, Abia State, the southeast region of Nigeria and at national levels. He wore his crown with humility yet defended the dignity of our people with uncompromising courage. His wisdom attracted statesmen, his generosity uplifted the poor, and his legacy will continue to inspire leaders who come after him.
As we bid farewell to a great monarch, I shall remember Ochi I fondly for his recognition of my service to our people through the conferment of the High Chieftaincy title of Ugochituberem I of Isuochi Ancient Kingdom and I bow in reverence to his cherished memory. The staff of authority may be laid down, momentarily, but the spirit of Ochi I will never depart from Isuochi as he lives on in our traditions, our stories, and the enduring pride of our people.
Farewell, great King. Rest in the bosom of The Almighty. May the heavens receive you as the noble king you were, and may your legacy continue to illuminate the path of Isuochi forever.
Indeed, the King is Dead. Long Live the King!!!

Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu Felicitates With Abia State on Its 34th Anniversary

On the auspicious occasion of our dear State’s 34th anniversary, I, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process, extend my heartfelt felicitations to the government and good people of Abia State. This milestone is a reminder of how far we have come together as one people, bound by shared history, enduring values, and collective aspirations for a greater future.
Abia State continues to grow in strength and prominence under the visionary, pragmatic and people-oriented leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
Today, 27, August, 2025, we not only celebrate the creation of our State but also the remarkable transformation taking place under this administration anchored on transparency, due process, accountability, and a shared commitment to sustainable development.
As we mark this anniversary, it is fitting to appreciate the resilience of Abians, whose enterprise, courage, and dedication remain the driving force behind the progress of our beloved State. Our people have continued to demonstrate an unyielding spirit, embodying the true essence of Abia God’s Own State. Anyi bu ndi mbu na aha ya na mgbali.
This celebration equally calls us to rededicate ourselves to the vision of a new Abia: a State where equity, justice, and good governance are upheld; where innovation and enterprise thrive; and where every citizen is empowered to contribute to inclusive growth. By building on the foundations already laid, we can ensure that Abia remains a beacon of hope, excellence, and opportunity in Nigeria.
On behalf of my family and in my personal capacity, I once again congratulate the government and people of Abia State on this historic anniversary. May the years ahead usher in greater prosperity, peace, and fulfillment of purpose as we collectively work to actualize the full potential of our dear State.
Long Live Abia State
Long Live The Federal Republic of Nigeria

MESSAGE OF APPRECIATION

I am utterly grateful to you my brethren as you've shared felicitation with me on Governor Alex Otti's munificence through this Announcement of a delicate position wherein we are quietly serving.
Indeed, we've been working behind the scenes with the cerebral Governor of Abia State and inconspicuously meeting milestones that are now snowballing into the delivery of targets as envisioned by the Governor for the effective turnaround of our dear Abia State.
Friends, I thank you most sincerely for your support and friendship. Through God and faithful service to Ndi Abia, while working in concert with the ebullient Governor Alex C. Otti, we will deliver outstanding results to the enduring happiness of our people.
Thank you.
